Dechert has added to its corporate and securities practice in Hong Kong with the hire of partner Lewis Ho.

Previously at Simmons & Simmons in Beijing, Ho specialises in intellectual property matters associated with the life sciences, technology, media and telecoms sectors. He has advised GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis on setting up research and development centres, and has worked on over 40 outsourcing, joint venture, and licensing deals with several life sciences companies, academic institutes, and research organisations.

“Lewis is an exciting addition to our Life Sciences practice, and in joining us, he substantially enhances our integrated global transactional and dispute resolution life sciences practice across Europe, North America, and Asia,” said George Gordon and David Schulman, co-heads of Dechert’s global life sciences team, in a statement.
