Dentons has nailed three new partners in Guangzhou to strengthen its practice in the fast-growing Pearl Delta region.

The firm has hired Zhang Jun and Xie Lingli from ETR Law Firm, and Lv Hui from Z&T Law Firm to boost its wealth management and capital market practices.

Specializing in wealth management, Zhang and Xie were both senior partners and on the board of directors of ETR Law Firm before joining Dentons’ Guangzhou office.

Lv has years of experience in capital markets and asset restructuring with a specific focus on China’s state-owned enterprises. 

Almost seven months after Dentons and Chinese firm Dacheng inked their merger, Dentons is planning an overhaul of its Chinese management structure as part of its effort to integrate its China profit pool.

The firm’s Beijing office still acts as the China region’s headquarters, drafting firm-wide policies and steering developments in the 43 mainland branch offices.

Its Guangzhou office currently has 27 partners, according to its Guangzhou-based managing partner Lu Yuefeng.
