Alex Liu is a partner at Global Law Office, Beijing.  Mr. Liu focuses on takeover and restructuring of listed companies, cross-border M&A, onshore and offshore IPOs, debts financing, PE/VC investment, FDI and overseas investment.  Mr. Liu's practice covers real estate, energy and resources, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, infrastructure, retail, e-Commerce, TMT, financial services, education, resorts and agriculture, etc. Mr. Liu has advised high-profile takeover or restructuring transactions, e.g., the privatization of H share company Zhengzhou Gas (03928), the over RMB10 billion takeover of HK listed Tianjin Port Development (03382) by Tianjin Port Group as well as the former's takeover of A share company Tianjin Port (600717) through cross-border share exchange, Melco International's acquisition of Yabuli and other state-owned or private ski resorts and hotels in China as well as the former's RTO at Toronto.  In capital market, Mr. Liu assisted either issuers or underwriters for many IPO projects at HKEx, NYSE, Nasdaq or ChiNext. Mr. Liu received a LL.M. from UC Berkeley, School of Law in 2010, a LL.M. from Renmin University of China, School of Law in 2004, and a LL.B. from Northeastern University in 2001.

Michael X. Marinelli has wide-ranging experience advising clients on the federal regulation of international transactions. He focuses his practice on U.S. export control regulations, including the EAR, the ITAR, and the economic sanctions regimes enforced by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), as well as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
