The ALB China Rising Law Firm of the Year award was established last year to acknowledge smaller firms which have risen to prominence in the legal services market. This year’s winner, Run Ming Law Firm, has continued to pursue its growth ambitions.

The firm recently increased its international capabilities by hiring two more lawyers to its Beijing office – Zhou Yao, from DLA Piper’s Beijing office, and Claire Ye, from US firm Thompson Hine.

Zhou specialises in general corporate, FDI, finance, M&A, venture capital and offshore listing work. Ye, who is admitted to practise in Ohio, focuses on corporate, international business and securities matters. Before joining Thompson Hine, Ye served as an in-house counsel at the Aluminium Corporate of America (Pittsburg). She assisted the company in its international investments, including JVs in China.
