Keynote Speaker: Norm Page - Associate Professor at East China University of Political Science and Law,  Lecture at Fudan University Law School

Teaching Experience

Norm is an Associate Professor at East China University of Political Science and Law where he teaches courses on Cross-Border Business Acquisitions and Cross-Border Finance.  He is also a frequent lecturer on cross-border finance at Fudan University Law School.

Private Law Practice

Norm was a partner for 30 years at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP where practiced in the firm’s Seattle and Shanghai offices.  He served for 10 years as Chairman of the firm’s Executive Committee, 15 years as Chairman of the Financial Services Practice Group, and 20 years as Chairman of the China Practice Group.

Government Service

Between 1983 – 1985, Norm served as Attorney-Advisor to the U.S. Agency for International Development where he helped USAID develop lending programs through private banks in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bolivia and Ecuador.

Prior to joining Fosun as the General Manager of Legal Department, Guo Xiaozhou already had extensive experience working both in private practice and in-house. Under his direct leadership, in the past year Fosun’s in-house team contributed to the success of various domestic and global investment/M&A deals like Tsingtao Brewery, Baihe Love, FFT of Germany and St. Hubert of France, IPO of Baby Tree and Fosun Tourism Group in the HKEX, and restructuring of Yuyuan, etc. In terms of  team building, Guo is committed to attracting and recruiting the best talents. At the same time, he has been pushing forward the establishment and improvement of a partnership structure for Fosun’s in-house team so as to deepen legal-business integration to make legal support more targeted and efficient.

Victor Shen, Chief Legal Officer of Henkel Greater China & Korea; Henkel Greater China Executive Committee Member

Master of Laws ("LLM"), with over 17-year multinational legal affairs management experiences, Victor used to work in a Hong Kong red-chip mobile communication company, a multi-national cosmetics company, and a world-class retail conglomerate. His extensive experience has equipped him with rich business knowledge of various industries, a sharp sense of different industry sectors and legal practice experiences. Victor has worked at Henkel for over 13 years, during which he has led his team handled numerous and complicated legal affairs and projects in the areas of international & domestic restructuring, divesture, mergers & acquisitions, labor, anti-trust, tax, customs, dispute resolution, government affairs, compliance and corporate governance. Victor’s performances had won him a high recognition from the Headquarters’ management, in 2015 he was elected as one of the Top General Counsel in 2015 by Asia Legal Business of Thomson Reuters and In 2019, he was ranked by the top foreign ranking agency as one of 25 General Counsel ("GC") Influencers of Greater China. Victor’s current practices and study interests concentrate on the legal systems of foreign direct investment, anti-trust, mergers & acquisitions, tax law and corporate law. Victor is also invited from time to time by professional forums as the guest speaker on the above-mentioned areas. Finally Victor acts as columnists and periodically contributes to the leading professional journals. 

Zhang Xinming - Executive Director of Legal & Audit Department - SAIC Motor International Co., Ltd.

张新铭 - 法律与审计部执行总监 - 上海汽车国际商贸有限公司（上汽国际） 

Zhang Xinming, master of Economic Law from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and EMBA from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, currently acts as Executive Director of Legal and Audit Department at SAIC Motor International Co., Ltd., and is specifically responsible for the joint venture and cooperation, legal support and risk control in the company's overseas business operations. During his tenure, he participated in the distribution of overseas branches during the SAIC Group's globalization process in recent years, as well as joint venture and cooperation projects, such as the formation of regional companies in the Middle East and South America, joint venture projects in Egypt and other countries, etc.

张新铭先生是上海财经大学经济法学硕士、上海交通大学EMBA，目前在上海汽车国际商贸有限公司（上汽国际）担任法律与审计部执行总监，具体负责上汽国际在海外经营过程中的合资合作、法务支持以及风险控制。任职期间，参与近年来上汽集团国际化进程中的海外布点，以及合资合作项目，如上汽中东、上汽南美等区域公司的组建，埃及等国当地的合资项目等。 

Steven Wang - Head of China and Head of Greater China for Corporate segment - Thomson Reuters

王利 - 中国区总经理及大中华区企业事业部总经理 - 汤森路透

Steven  is Head of China and Head of Greater China for Corporate segment. He is in charge of designing the strategy including legal business and tax business in corporate market, team management and sales achievement in Greater China.

Steven has worked for 12 years in Thomson Reuters. He wined President Club for 4 times and over 20 times President Club in his team. He has a lot of working experience in data, especially for IP, Finance, Legal, Tax and Compliance. He has good understanding the challenge of Chinese Company going global and provided relative solutions for them. Steven is Off campus tutor in UIBE. He was team member of strategy development of Nanjing University and Outstanding Alumni of BIT by alumni association.

王利是汤森路透中国区总经理及大中华区企业事业部总经理，负责汤森路透在中国及大中华区企业事业部的法律及税务业务发展的战略制定，团队管理及销售目标的达成。

王利在汤森路透工作超过12年，本人曾四次获得全球CEO大奖，所在团队也有20多人次获得全球CEO销售大奖。在数据行业有很多的工作经验，尤其对知识产权、金融、风险、法律及税务方面数据业务生态有比较深刻的理解。在领导企业销售团队期间，对中国企业走出去战略有比较深入的研究，理解中国企业走出去所面对的挑战并为其提供相应解决方案。目前王利是对外经贸大学经济管理学院硕士研究生校外导师，曾是南京大学战略发展研究小组成员，北京理工大学硕士研究生，曾被校友会评为优秀校友。

Mr. Wu is the Chief Representative of Baker McKenzie Shanghai office. His practice focuses on cross-border transactions involving the PRC, in particular mergers and acquisitions with a focus on information technology and major project matters.

Sylvette Y. Tankiang - Senior Partner - V&A Law

Ms. Tankiang is a Senior Partner of the law firm of Villaraza & Angangco. Ms. Tankiang has special expertise in the fields of taxation, mergers & acquisitions, finance, and power & energy. She is also an active member and officer in various local and international law associations. She earned her Bachelor of Arts (Honors) major in Economics from the De La Salle University, graduating summa cum laude in 1977. She also obtained her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 1981, graduating cum laude and valedictorian. Ms. Tankiang earned her Master of Laws degree from Harvard University in 1986.

Ms. Tankiang has been active in the Inter Pacific Bar Association where she has acted as Publications Chair, Webmaster, and Committee Coordinator.
