Mr. Oliver has more than 17 years experience working as commercial lawyer in Vietnam. He practices in the area of corporate international taxation and on power/water projects, matters related to oil and gas companies and telecoms, privatization and equitization, mergers and acquisitions, and general commercial matters for multinational clients in relation to investment and doing business in Vietnam.

He is the only foreign lawyer as Member to the Supervisory Board of Petro Vietnam Insurance Corporation, Vietnam's largest industrial insurer. He is a registered Arbitrator of the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC). He is the only foreign lawyer in Vietnam who is presenting to the National Asesmbly of Vietnam in Vietnamese language and teaching International Law in Vietnamese language at the Minsitry of Justice in Hanoi.

He is a 1994 graduate of Bochum Law University, first state exam and Ministry of Justice, Duesseldorf Germany, second state exam 1997. He is holding a LLM degree in international taxation from St. Thomas University Florida - United State of America. He is admitted to the Bar Association in Berlin and a licensed foreign lawyer in Vietnam.

Mr. Phan Trong Dat

Mr. Dat has 10 years of practical experience, specialising in commercial arbitration and mediation and currently serves as Vice Secretary General of the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre. Dat has been working closely with hundreds of tribunals conducting aribitration at VIAC and keeps up with gaining diverse practical insight of commercial arbitration.

Mr. Thao Cung

Mr. Cung has 25 years of corporate legal experience in both Asia and the U.S. He joined VinaCapital in 2009 and is the General Counsel. He spend 6 years with Baker & McKenzie in their Hong Kong and San Francisco offices from 1993 to 1999. He has also served as corporate counsel at the Clorox Company, where he was responsible for Clorox's legal matters in Asia. Immediately prior to joining VinaCapital, he was associated with Tilleke & Gibbins in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh from 2008 to 2009, where his corproate and commercial practice included company formation, joint vernture planning, franchising registration, banking and geneal Vietnam in-bound investment advise.

He holds a B.A. in Economics from University of California at Berkeley (1989), a J.D. from the Harvard Law School (1992), and an Executive MBA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa (2011).

Mr. Loi Truong is the Senior Legal Counsel for Traveloka Vietnam Limited and Regional Compliance Manager for Traveloka Group of Companies (including Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), providing extensive booking services throughout South East Asia.

In 2012, his extensive experience has contributed to the award of Vietnam Law Firm of the year by ACQGlobal and Acquisition International for VCI Legal.

He is also a qualified lawyer to Vietnam Bar Federation and currently is a member of Ho Chi Minh Bar Association. Prior to joining Traveloka, he worked for various international and local law firms before engaging with Coca-Cola Vietnam Limited as Legal and Compliance Manager.

With almost 14 years of experience, Mr. Le Anh Hai has expanded his career from private practice to in-house positions. He is currently the Legal and Compliance Team Leader for Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemicals LLC which owns a US$9.2 billion refinery and petrochemical complex project located in Nghi Son Economic Zone, Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam.

Ms. Dao Nguyen Bich

Ms. Dao focuses on maintaining and enhancing the compliance and risk management systems of the compnay, which she provides legal advices on investment funds activities.

She has more than 13 years of exeperience in legal and compliance. She joined Manulife Asset Management Vietnam since 2012 from Eastspring Investments Vietnam, where she served as Head of Legal and Compliance for Private Equity and Property investment sectors. Prior to that, she respectively worked as a lawyer with particular expertise in Corporate, M&A and Real Estate for Mayer Brown JSM Vietnam and Russin & Veechi Vietnam.

She holds an L.L.M in International Trade Law from the University of the West of England, United Kingdom; BA in Commercial Law from the Ho Chi Minh City Unversity of Law, Vietnam; BA English Language from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Science and Humanities, Vietnam. She has been licensed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Justice and admitted by the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association. She has also ben licensed by the Vietnamese State securities Commission on Fund Management.

Ms. Thuy-Minh Lai

Ms. Thuy joined Citibank Vietnam in 2004 as Country Legal and Compliance Officer.She was appointed to be Chief Admin Officer and Country Counsel in 2008 in which role she covers Legal and provides oversight to Compliance and Operational Risk Management.

In her capacity as General Counsel, she is responsible for all aspects of legal and regulatory issues in Citi Vietnam in areas of Corporate Banking, Consumer Banking, Commercial Banking and Country Franchise and Governance.

She started her law career in 1997 at Freehills (now Herbet Smith Freehills) - Hanoi Branch. Prior to joining Citi in April 2004, she was a senior lawyer of Freehills Vietnam for 7.5 years managing Banking & Finance and Litigation Practice Groups.

She was first runner-up winner of 2006 Asialaw's In-House Counsel Award for Vietnam and in 2014 she was selected in the Top 100 In-House Stars for Asia Pacific by The Legal 500.

She earned her B.A. in Law from Hannoi University in 1995, her L.L.M in 2000 from Hanoi National University, and her pos-grad diploma on Transactional Laws in 2001 from the Melbourne University.
