K&L Gates has strengthened its team with the addition of two partners to its Hong Kong office: corporate and securities expert David Johnson and commercial disputes specialist Samuel Ngo.

Johnson joins the firm from Allen & Overy, and represents Asia-Pacific corporate and sovereign issuers and underwriters on equity and debt financing, while advising on other corporate matters including acquisitions, privatisations, and tender and exchange offers.

Previously an of counsel at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Ngo advises Hong Kong and PRC companies on commercial litigation and arbitration issues, which include disputes involving M&A, insolvency, pre-IPO financing, insurance claims and construction. Ngo also handles regulatory compliance and investigation work.

K&L Gates has expanded in recent months, expanding its team in Singapore and Australia.
