近日，大成律师事务所先后启动了与厄瓜多尔精英律所Paz Horowitz Abogados及与坦桑尼亚精品律所East African Law Chambers（EALC）的合并，进一步扩大了其在拉丁美洲和非洲的布局。
在厄瓜多尔，此次与大成完成合并的律所Paz Horowitz Abogados擅长知识产权、反腐败调查与合规、公司业务与并购等领域，曾为当地价值1.28亿美元的跨境投资项目提供管理和法律咨询服务。大成称：“作为第一家泛拉丁美洲和加勒比海地区的律所，大成将通过与Paz Horowitz Abogados的合并，将足迹扩展到该地区的26个国家，为发展成为当地占主导地位的全球律所夯实基础。”
而在非洲，大成在一份新闻稿中表示，“通过坦桑尼亚达累斯萨拉姆的新办公室，大成拓展了在东非的服务范围，能为客户对接东非、整个非洲大陆乃至全球的业务机会”。
目前，大成在全球78个国家拥有198个办公室。在全球疫情和经济危机的大环境下，2020年大成跨境合并项目占全球所有律所跨境合并总量的85%。
Dentons expands presence in Latin America and Africa
Dentons has recently launched mergers with East African Law Chambers (EALC) in Tanzania, and Paz Horowitz Abogados in Ecuador, to further expand its global disposition.
According to Dentons, by merging with EALC and “through our new office in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Dentons will expand our services and connect our clients with business opportunities in East Africa and globally."
Meanwhile in Latin America, Dentons’ new partner, Paz Horowitz Abogados, specializes in intellectual property, anti-corruption and compliance, corporate operations and mergers and acquisitions. It has provided legal advice for cross-border investment projects in the region with a total value of $128 million. “As the first pan-Latin America and Caribbean law firm, Dentons will expand its footprint to 26 countries in the region through the merger," Dentons says in one press release.
Dentons now has 198 offices in 78 countries around the world. Under the pandemic, the cross-border merger projects of Dentons accounted for 85 percent of the total of law firm’s cross-border merger projects in 2020.
