海问律师事务所近日迎来争议解决律师刘洋以合伙人身份加盟其香港办公室。此前，刘律师自2018年起执业于英国希德律师行香港办公室，并于2021年晋升为合伙人。据腾讯网报道，刘律师是这家有着210年历史的英国律所的首位中国合伙人。

刘律师专攻商事争议解决，在国际仲裁和商业诉讼方面具有多年经验，涉及国际货物买卖和贸易以及大宗商品、能源和离岸工程、航运和造船、股东及股权相关纠纷、国际投资等。他已代表多家金融机构、保险公司、跨国企业、非政府机构、中国国有企业及大型航运和贸易公司处理在香港及英国法院和国际仲裁庭的复杂商业纠纷。

刘律师加盟后，海问香港办公室共有七位合伙人，其中包括今年6月加盟的并购专家苏浩律师。

HK: PRC firm Haiwen lures over shipping disputes expert from Hill Dickinson

PRC law firm Haiwen & Partners has hired shipping dispute resolution specialist Edward Liu as a partner in its Hong Kong office from the UK’s Hill Dickinson.

Liu joined Hill Dickinson in 2018, and became a partner in 2021. Prior to that, he worked at Reed Smith for nearly eight years across two stints, and DLA Piper.

With expertise in commercial dispute resolution, Liu specialises in international arbitration and commercial litigation involving international trade, bulk commodity, energy and offshore construction, maritime and ship building, equity disputes, and international investments. 

He represents financial institutions, insurance companies, multinational corporations, non-governmental organisations, Chinese state-owned enterprises, and large maritime and trade companies in disputes heard by courts in Hong Kong and the UK.

With the addition of Liu, Haiwen’s Hong Kong office now has seven partners, including M&A expert Su Hao, who joined in June.
