U.S. law firm Proskauer Rose has opened its Beijing office, its first on the Chinese mainland and second in Asia after Hong Kong.

Eversheds’ Hong Kong office has advised New World China Land, the mainland property flagship of Hong Kong property giant New World Development on a rights issue to raise up to HK$4.3 billion ($553 million).

DLA Piper’s employment practice in China received a significant boost following the addition to its Beijing team of Chris Lin, who is widely recognized within the MNC community in the country as a leading labour lawyer.
