欧华律师事务所近日迎来投资基金专家，前凯易律师事务所合伙人王诗农律师加盟其香港办公室。这也是凯易今年2月以来离开的第三位合伙人。

在王律师离开之前，凯易商业诉讼合伙人Paul Quinn已加入史密夫斐尔律师事务所，私募股权与并购合伙人李光则加盟了中伦律师事务所。

王律师专注于私募投资基金的结构和设立、流动性解决方案、投资管理和监管咨询等领域。

王律师的法律职业生涯便始于凯易，在2021年回归该所之前，他也分别在德普律师事务所和盛信律师事务所工作。

随着王律师得加入，欧华香港办公室目前共拥有28名专业人士。与此同时，凯易香港办公室则拥有42名律师，其中包括29位合伙人。

Kirkland HK exits continue as funds partner joins DLA as of counsel

U.S. law firm Kirkland & Ellis has seen the third partner exit from its Hong Kong office in February alone, with after investment funds partner Wang Shinong joined DLA Piper as an of counsel.

Wang’s departure from Kirkland Hong Kong follows those of commercial litigation partner Paul Quinn, who joined Herbert Smith Freehills, and private equity and M&A partner Gary Li, who moved to PRC outfit Zhong Lun Law Firm.

With a focus on private investment funds, liquidity solutions, investment management and regulatory advice, Wang was part of the Kirkland team that advised private equity firm GL Capital on its $1.13 billion take-private offer for Hong Kong-listed SciClone Pharmaceuticals.

He joined Kirkland in 2021 for a second stint – having started his legal career at that firm – and became a partner in 2022. Prior to that, he worked at Debevoise & Plimpton and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.

With Wang’s hire, DLA Piper now has 28 lawyers in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Kirkland has 42 lawyers, including 29 partners.
