科律律师事务所近日迎来前世达国际合伙人徐一林律师以资本市场及上市公司业务合伙人的身份加盟其北京办事处。

徐律师专注于美股和港股上市、上市公司合规与治理、并购、私募股权投资及其他公司事务，尤其在科技、生命科学、消费电子及食品饮料等行业拥有深厚的专业积累。

徐律师的职业生涯起始于世达国际律师事务所，自2011年开始，他便在该所工作了近13年。

今年10月，世达国际向ALB确认将关闭上海办公室，徐律师的离开正值该所调整中国公司业务运营之际。

科律非诉部门全球主管、合伙人Sonya Erickson表示：“徐律师在为科技、生命科学、生物技术和人工智能等领域的公司提供咨询方面拥有丰富的经验，这与我们的客户群体高度契合，无疑将进一步加强科律在全球最具活力的经济体之一——中国的客户关系。”

据悉，科律中国资本市场业务团队正在不断吸纳人才，目前已拥有40多名法律专业人士。

Cooley makes capital markets hire from Skadden

U.S. firm Cooley has boosted its capital markets practice by hiring Xu Yilin as a partner in its Beijing office. Xu previously served as a partner in the corporate group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Xu specialises in Hong Kong and U.S. listings, public company compliance and governance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and other corporate matters. His work focuses on the technology, life sciences, consumer electronics, and food and beverage industries. He began his legal career at Skadden, where he worked for nearly 13 years, starting in 2011.

In October 2024, Skadden confirmed to ALB that it would be closing its Shanghai office. Xu's departure coincided with the firm restructuring its corporate business operations in China.

“Yilin’s experience advising tech, life sciences, biotech and AI companies is highly synergistic to our client base and will further strengthen our client relationships in one of the world’s most dynamic economies,” said Sonya Erickson, partner and global chair of Cooley’s business department. 

According to Cooley, the firm has expanded its team to over 40 legal professionals in its China capital markets practice in the last five years.

The addition of Xu makes the firm’s Beijing lawyers count to 20, including 4 partners.
