Gide Loyrette Nouel (GLN) has appointed Samuel Chau to its head of banking & finance (Hong Kong). Previously, Chau served as a consultant in the international finance group of Sidley Austin's Hong Kong office.

Chau has over 15 years of experience working for a broad range of major corporate and financial institutions. His practice focuses on banking and structured finance work, with particular emphasis on leveraged, real estate, project and asset-based financings throughout Hong Kong, the PRC and the Asian region.

His appointment further strengthens GLN's Asia banking & finance group, led by Balbir Bindra, and comes in response to greater client demand in the region. ALB
