曾任必百瑞上海代表处高级顾问的唐志华律师，近期加盟了上海锦天城律师事务所担任合伙人。

唐志华主要从事公司业务、合资经营和战略联盟、并购、公司重组、公司金融及合规操作等业务。

加盟锦天城之前，唐志华在必百瑞和高特兄弟律师事务所职执业超过１４年。

Shanghai’s largest law firm, AllBright, continues to up its game on the international playing field with another appointment this year. David Tang, former senior counsel at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, has recently joined AllBright as partner. The appointment follows the joining of Lovell’s Beijing ex-managing partner Robert Lewis, former Simmons & Simmons consultant Richard Lee and formal partner of K&L Gates Louis Meng in recent months.

Prior to Tang’s appointment at AllBright, he worked as a member in China practice group at Coudert Brothers and Pillsbury for more than 14 years, focusing on corporate, corporate finance, cross-border direct investments, M&A and corporate restructuring.  His role at AllBright is to collaborate with his new team members to build up a first-class platform for both domestic and foreign clients.

“Given the flourishing Chinese economy, there’s a broader scope of growth and better opportunities at domestic firms. Especially since there are many strict restrictions imposed on international firms,” said Tang.

The past six months have seen leading PRC firms setting the pace in terms of hiring partners from international firms to grow their international business practice and increase their capabilities in advising cross-border transactions.

 “Domestic firms are upgrading themselves and they know exactly what they want. They want the international books of businesses that new lawyers bring with them and they want those who have an international stance so they can move onto an international platform where they will be leaders,” said Tang.

Tang notes that the ‘domesticating’ trend is here to stay. “Some of my friends are also considering the big move and that has been the talk for quite sometime. As long as the Chinese economy continues to boom, the number of international lawyers making the switch will not stop,” said Tang. ALB
