CMS近日提升Nicolas Zhu为其上海代表处合伙人，并领导其上海的生命科学部门。

Zhu主要执业领域为并购，知识产权及税务。在2002年CMS建立上海代表处时，作为助理加入CMS生命科学部门。

Zhu对中国生命科学的市场非常看好。 他认为，由于国家药监局对药品及药品器械的监控与管理越来越严格。这意味着将来会有更多相关的法律文件及法律工作需要律所来处理。

CMS上海代表处的人员在2002年建立以来，至今已经增加了三倍。其中5名是合伙人。

Zhu, who specialises in M&A, IP and tax-related issues in China, joined the firm as an associate when it first launched in Shanghai in 2002. 

Zhu is enthused by the outlook for life sciences in China. Speaking to ALB China, he said the increasing regulatory supervision in the area is set to increase the work on offer for lawyers across the country. "Medical supervision and certification is getting stricter in China, and the State Food and Drug Administration is also going to have stricter regulation on medical devices, which all means there will be more legal documents and works for law firms."

The firm’s Shanghai office has tripled in size since 2002. It now boasts thirty lawyers in the city, six of whom are partners. ALB
