Fangda Partners has bolstered its mergers and acquisitions and foreign direct investment teams with the lateral hire of Beijing-based partner Hu Jun.

Hu joins the firm from FenXun. Prior to that, Hu worked with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in Hong Kong and Dewey LeBoeuf‘s New York office where he was an associate.

Hu's main practice areas include M&A, private equity and foreign investment. He has advised various multinational companies on their acquisitions, joint ventures agreements and general corporate matters in China. He also acts for a number of and PRC 500 enterprises on their overseas acquisition projects.
 
The addition of Hu increases the number of partners at the firm to 35. ALB
