Hogan Lovells has hired Michael Chin as a partner in its China corporate practice.
Chin, an experienced private equity, venture capital and general corporate lawyer,
joins the firm from US firm Dorsey & Whitney where he was also a partner and co-chair
of the firm's Asia-pacific practice group. Chin will be based in Hogan Lovells'
Shanghai office. 

Chin has represented a range of venture capital and private equity funds with their
fund raising and investment transactions including, DT Capital, Carlyle Group, Goldman
Sachs, Lightspeed Venture Partners, SAIF Partners, Steamboat Ventures and Warburg
Pincus as well as emerging growth companies with their various stages of financing and
other general corporate needs. 

Chin's appointment increases the number of partners in the firm's Beijing and Shanghai
offices to nine. ALB
