Norton Rose has hired corporate specialist Jing Wang as a partner at its Beijing office. He joins the firm from Allen & Overy Beijing, where he was a counsel.
Wang’s practice focuses on advising Chinese and international companies on strategic M&As. In particular, he has strong experience in the biotech and food and beverages sectors. A native Mandarin speaker, Wang is admitted to the PRC Bar and the New York State Bar.
Commenting on the lateral hire, head of North Asia at Norton Rose Hong Kong, Philip John, said in a statement: “Jing is an impressive lawyer with a very strong track record…his arrival adds further strength to our team in the region, and is a sign of the continued commitment we have to growing our capabilities in China.”
Wang’s arrival boosts the firm’s Beijing partner count to six. This includes existing corporate partners Tom Luckock, Michael Wilton, and Wang Yi.
