Dacheng Wong Alliance (DCWA), the Singapore joint law venture between China’s Dacheng and local firm Wong Alliance, has hired veteran corporate lawyer Yang Yen Thaw as the co-head of its India practice.
Yang, an Indian-qualified lawyer with 19 years of experience, joins from the Singapore office of boutique Indian private equity and venture capital law firm Lexygen, where he was a resident partner. He specialises in international transactions and investments, joint ventures, M&As, and intellectual property. Yang has experience in advising and assisting blue-chip companies and private equity and venture capital investors in India, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
“We are committed to bridging the India-China-ASEAN space and with Yen Thaw on board, we will be better placed to do this,” said Aloysius Wee, managing principal of DCWA, in a statement.
Yang’s arrival takes the number of lawyers in DCWA’s India practice to four. The others are Wee, who is the practice head, senior associate Rahul Singh Talwar, and associate Richa Chaturvedi.
