Clifford Chance has elected Mark Shipman to lead its Asia-Pacific corporate practice from January 2013, replacing the current head, Roger Denny, who will head the M&A practice in Asia.
Shipman, who has been a partner at Clifford Chance since 2001, will also head the firm’s global funds and investment management practice in Asia.
“Our highly talented Asia Pacific corporate team is playing key roles in many of today’s most high-profile deals, and I believe the practice will only go from strength to strength under Mark’s leadership,” said Peter Charlton, the firm’s Asia-Pacific managing partner, in a statement.
