Watson, Farley & Williams has boosted its Hong Kong office with the hire of four lawyers from Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW), including commercial and dispute resolution partner, Richard Wilmot.
Wilmot advises banks, buyers, and trading companies on commodities and regulatory issues. He also represents clients in dispute resolution, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
Wilmot brings with him a team of three associates from HFW specialising in corporate work and litigation. They are Andrew Carpenter, Josephine Chan, and Noelle Doo.
“The recruitment of Richard and his team brings the complement in our office up to the level we had planned for the first year, covering corporate, finance and litigation work in the firm’s key areas of shipping, natural resources and energy,” said Watson, Farley & Williams’ managing partner, Michael Greville, in a statement. “This is consistent with our overall Asian practice, in Singapore and Bangkok, and it provides an excellent base for further development in Hong Kong and into China.”
