Ince & Co has added shipping veteran Guo Xu to its Beijing office as counsel, who joined the firm from the post of legal department leader in the China Ocean Shipping (Group) Co (COSCO).

Guo has 18-year in-house experience, initially with COSCO's bulk shipping arm in Tianjin, before he became the head of COSCO Group's legal, insurance and claims department in Beijing.

“We are delighted to welcome Guo to Ince. He brings in-depth experience to our trade and shipping practice,” said head of Ince &Co's Beijing office, Wai Yue Loh in a statement.

“Our clients in the region, and indeed internationally, will benefit from his knowledge and counsel."
Guo is admitted in PRC, and is fluent in Mandarin and English.

“I am excited about this opportunity to be part of Ince's commitment to China,” said Guo.
