Jones Day has hired capital markets expert Gene Buttrill as a partner at its Hong Kong office.

Previously at Proskauer Rose, Buttrill advises both issuers and underwriters on corporate finance matters, with a focus on Chinese companies looking to launch IPOs in Hong Kong and the U.S. He also represents clients on public and private company M&A, take-private transactions, U.S. corporate governance and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission investigations.
