Deacons has appointed private equity expert Robert Woll as a partner in the firm’s financial services group in Hong Kong.

Woll joined Deacons from WilmerHale, where he was co-managing partner of the firm’s Beijing office and chair of the China corporate practice.

Woll advises financial institutions, private equity firms and institutional investors on private equity transactions and fund formation in Asia.

Deacons’ financial services group now comprises seven partners and 35 fee-earners.

In January, the firm elected two new partners in Hong Kong.
