Sidley Austin has hired energy expert Tom Deegan from Simmons & Simmons as a partner in its Hong Kong office.
Deegan specialises in M&A, joint ventures, projects and restructurings, with a particular expertise in the energy and natural resources sectors.
“Tom is a perfect complement not only to our team of lawyers throughout the Asia-Pacific region, but also to the firm’s energy sector-focused lawyers, including those who practice in our Houston, Texas office,” said Sidley Austin’s Asia-Pacific managing partner, Thomas Albrecht, in a statement.
