U.S. law firm Locke Lord has bolstered its fast-growing Asia practice with the hire of corporate expert Michael Fung and dispute resolution specialist Adrian Taylor as partners at the firm’s Hong Kong office.

Previously at Squire Sanders in Hong Kong, Taylor handles matters concerning tax and trusts, insolvency and restructuring, and international disputes. Fung, who joined the firm from Loeb & Loeb, advises on M&A, finance, capital markets transactions and post-listing compliance issues.

The Dallas-headquartered firm, which opened a Hong Kong office in January 2011, has also hired three Of Counsel in Hong Kong – King Hui, Stephen Lo and Roger Wong – over the past few weeks.

Locke Lord strengthened its Hong Kong presence earlier this year through its association with local firm Cheung & Lee. The firm has joined forces with the five partners who recently formed Cheung & Lee – finance and disputes expert Wing Cheung, banking and finance specialist Balbir Bindra, and corporate lawyers Tej Mahil, Alfred Lee and Matthew Wong.
