For the past few months, the activity on the Hong Kong stock market has been largely listings from Chinese property groups. However, something different is happening this week as mainland-based Tontine Wines Group launches its US$66.3m public offering. The IPO aims to assist the company’s expansion in its production and distribution networks and market share in China.

China Tontine’s lead advisors on the deal are Jingtian & Gongcheng, Chiu & Partners and Conyers Dill & Pearman. They are all long-term legal advisors to the company. SBI are the underwriters and are being advised by GFE Law Office and Orrick, a long-term advisor to the underwriter, having represented it on several listings in the last two years.
