Grandall Legal Group has recently topped the charts as lead advisor for ChiNext listings. Having advised 20 companies in their applications for listing (of which 15 successfully received approvals) over the past year, the firm has successfully seized a 10% market share.
Just in the past few months, Grandall has already advised Shanghai Cooltech Power, Shenzhen Changhong Technology and Guangdong Anjubao on their ChiNext IPOs.
Following close behind are Zhong Lun, King & Wood and Beijing Tianyin. All three firms have advised on more than ten successful applications for ChiNext listings. Mostly recently, Zhong Lun advised Shenzhen Sunwin Intelligent on its launch on the board; King & Wood advised Anhui Shengyun Machinery, Beijing Meteno Communications Technology and Nationz Technology on their ChiNext launches earlier this year.
According to Grandall, companies that have listing ambitions have created a new stream of work for capital markets lawyers. As well as less stringent listing criteria compared to the Shenzhen Main Board, ChiNext listings bring about more risk due to the high P/E ratios. The boisterous investor interest has also created the need for a more stringent assessment process. All these necessitates experienced capital markets firms in advise on listing. ALB
