Jincheng Tongda & Neal,  King & Wood,  Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom,  Simpson Thacher have all advised NetQin Mobile, a Chinese mobile security and applications company, on its on the New York Stock Exchange IPO - following the May 2011 debuts of three other PRC companies onto the US market.

NetQuin Mobile's listing follows that of Chinese social networking company, Renren, an online-dating and matchmaking site Jiayuan and Chinese media group, Phoenix New Media.

Senior partner Stephen Peng led the team from Beijing-based Jincheng Tongda & Neal, that advised the issuer on PRC law. Skadden was US counsel to issuer.

The lead underwriter Piper Jaffray & Co is advised by Simpson Thacher on US law.  King & Wood provided the Chinese law advice.

According to reports, NetQin dominated held the lion's share of the market with a reported 68% of market share as of Dec 31 2010. 

Before launching its IPO, a cloud of controversy surrounded NetQin Mobile as allegations of fraudulent activities were investigated. NetQin Mobile founder, Beijing Feiliu Jiutian Tech Co, was accused of installing hostile software on users' phones and incurring extra charges without warning to consumers.

Peng refuted those claims. “The report was found to be actually inaccurate, and CCTV broadcasted another positive report about NetQin Mobile, which reduced the negative impact on NetQin Mobile ,” Peng added, “the two reports did not affect the processing of NetQin Mobile’s IPO, and its IPO was launched as planned.”ALB
