Eversheds recently poached former Norton Rose corporate partner Virginie Deslandres to head its Paris office’s China practice, in a bid to capture some of the action resulting from increased Sino-European trade.
Deslandres is a China hand with over two decades of experience advising French and European enterprises in Asia.
She is experienced in business negotiations and has advised many multinationals and mid-sized companies on market entry strategies, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. Infrastructure projects, construction and tax planning are also her corporate specialties.
Upon assuming the new position, Deslandres will split her time between the firm’s Paris and China offices and coordinate Evershed’s China practice in Europe.
Deslandres is qualified in France and was previously the vice-president of the French Chamber of Commerce in China and the founder of the European Chamber in Beijing. ALB
