Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Jun He Law Offices have advised China’s Tencent Holdings on its $600 million offering of 3.375% unsecured senior notes due 2018. Conyers Dill & Pearman acted as Cayman Islands counsel to Tencent, while Simpson Thacher & Bartlett advised the initial purchasers – Goldman Sachs (Asia), Deutsche Bank and Barclays Bank. The notes will be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Tencent, an integrated internet services company, will use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes.

Hong Kong-based partner Leiming Chen led the Simpson Thacher team, alongside Hong Kong partner Daniel Fertig, and Robert Holo in New York.

“We are pleased that investors continue to hold strong confidence in our business model and financial performance,” said Martin Lau, president of Tencent, in a statement.
