Shearman & Sterling has advised CNPC General Capital, a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation, on its issuance of $2 billion worth of notes.

Jun He Law Offices and Appleby advised CNPC General Capital on PRC and BVI law respectively in relation to the notes, which comprise $750 million 1.45 percent notes due 2016, $500 million 1.95 percent notes due 2018, and $750 million 3.40 percent notes due 2023.

Davis Polk & Wardwell, led by Hong Kong-based partner Eugene Gregor, advised the joint global coordinators and the initial purchasers, with King & Wood Mallesons acting as PRC counsel.
