Two major Shanghai-based firms, Boss & Young and JoinWay, have announced their merger, creating one of the largest local firms in Shanghai with more than 50 partners and 200 lawyers.

The new full-service firm is named Boss & Young Attorneys-At-Law, and will continue businesses in current locations of each firm till it moves to a combined new office in July.

Prior to the merger, Boss & Young had offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Detroit, in addition to a Patent & Trademark Attorneys agency. Being one of the leading firms in the banking and finance practices, the firm has a group of dual-qualified lawyers with extensive international experiences, and has also formed an extensive overseas connection.

JoinWay, meanwhile, had branches in Shanghai, Nanjing, Beijing, Chongqing and Wuhan. It specialised in real estate and construction as well as foreign investment, securities and capital markets, intellectual properties, corporate, international trade, maritime and dispute resolution.

The new Boss & Young will focus on both international and domestic matters, and continue to serve clients of the former Boss & Young and JoinWay.

邦信阳中建中汇合并

上海市的两家主要中国律师事务所邦信阳与中建中汇于上周宣布合并，从而形成了超过50名合伙人和200人的规模，成为上海本地最大的律所之一。

合并后的大型综合性事务所中文名称为上海邦信阳中建中汇律师事务所，预计将于7月份迁至新址合并办公。在此之前将仍留在双方原址办公。

新成立的邦信阳中建中汇将同时关注国内外业务，并继续为双方的既有客户提供服务。
