Han Kun Law Offices has boosted its antitrust practice with the hire of partner Ma Chen at its Beijing office.

Ma focuses on competition law-related work, and has advised both domestic and international companies on merger filings and cartel investigations in China. He also advises clients on M&A, foreign direct investment, banking and regulatory compliance matters.

Ma joins Han Kun from Fanga Partners, where he was a partner in the firm’s Beijing office.

Han Kun now has more than 140 lawyers in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The firm established an office in Hong Kong last month, its first office outside mainland China.
