Detroit-headquartered law firm Miller Canfield has boosted its China corporate practice with the hire of Anna Elshafei as a principal in its Shanghai office.

Prior to joining Miller Canfield, Elshafei was a counsel at Hogan Lovells, where she advised clients from the insurance sector in relation to market entry, product structuring, compliance and regulatory issues in China.

Miller Canfield operates in the US, Canada, Poland, Mexico and China. The firm’s Shanghai office, its only location in Asia, was launched in 2008 with a focus on inbound investment.
