Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati has hired Dan Ouyang as a partner in the firm’s corporate and securities practice.

The addition of Ouyang will bolster Wilson Sonsini’s Greater China offering, which recently lost its Beijing head, Kefei Li, to Sidley Austin.

Ouyang, who will be based in Wilson Sonsini’s Beijing and Hong Kong offices, advises clients on M&A, private equity, and U.S. and Hong Kong capital markets transactions. In April, she advised Perfect World, a Beijing-based gaming company, on its $1 billion take-private deal.

Ouyang joins Wilson Sonsini from Paul Hastings, where she was a partner in the firm’s Beijing office.

“Dan is an accomplished attorney with an abundance of valuable corporate and securities experience in both China and the U.S., and her hire further strengthens the firm’s already robust U.S. and Hong Kong capital markets capabilities,” said Jack Sheridan, Wilson Sonsini’s co-managing partner, in a statement.
