Weil, Gotshal & Manges lawyers Anthony Wang and Daniel Yeh have exited the firm to join O'Melveny & Myers in the U.S. and Ropes & Gray’s Hong Kong office, respectively, as partners.
Wang, formerly a partner at Weil’s Shanghai office, will now be based at OMM’s Newport Beach branch. His work focuses on China-related M&A, capital markets transactions and venture capital investments, particularly in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) industries. Recently, he advised a group led by private equity firm Hopu Fund and the Bank of China on a $2.5 billion investment in Singapore-based Global Logistic Properties Ltd, a leading provider and developer of distribution facilities and services.
Yeh, who was a registered foreign lawyer at Weil’s Hong Kong office, will be part of Ropes & Gray’s private equity practice. He specialises in private equity transactions including joint ventures, cross-border M&A, growth equity investments, and public and private acquisitions and divestitures.
