Han Kun Law Offices has hired intellectual property partner Wang Yan from Fangda Partners in Beijing.

Wang focuses primarily on IP disputes relating to patents, trademarks, copyright, trade secrets and antitrust issues. He also advises clients on non-contentious IP matters, including licensing and IP monetisation strategies.

Before joining Fangda as a partner three years ago, Wang served as a senior counsel at U.S. fabless semiconductor company Broadcom. He has also worked at Weil, Gotshal & Manges and Morrison & Foerster.

Wang’s recruitment is the latest in a string of hires for Han Kun. Earlier this month, the firm nabbed eight partners from AllBright Law Offices in Shanghai.
