Los Angeles-headquartered law firm Loeb & Loeb has bolstered its capital market presence in China with the hire of Benjamin Qiu as a partner in Beijing.
Qiu specialises in advising on venture capital financing for emerging companies, with a focus on software and internet companies.
Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb, Qiu worked in the Shanghai office of U.S. firm Cooley, where he advised on venture capital financing, fund management and intellectual property protection for growing companies.
Before that, he was senior counsel and fund director at Innovation Works, an investment fund and start-up incubator established by Kai-Fu Lee, the former President of Google Greater China.
