Norton Rose Fulbright has boosted its finance practice with the addition of Paul Wee Ei Don as a partner in the Beijing office.
Don, who joins Norton Rose after an eight-year stint in Clifford Chance, specialises in project finance and works with Chinese policy and commercial banks on outbound projects, particularly in the mining and metals, oil and gas, power and infrastructure sectors. In recent years, he has handled some of the biggest Chinese outbound financings involving various jurisdictions including Angola, Australia, Ukraine and Venezuela.
“Paul’s appointment as a partner in the Beijing office demonstrates our continued commitment to China as a whole and to the needs of our clients. He’s a great fit for the office with a strong practice, and first rate experience and contacts,” said Phillip John, Norton Rose’s head of North Asia, in a statement.
