China’s AnJie Law Firm has hired cross-border M&A specialist Simon (Xiameng) Li as a partner in its Beijing office. Li joins from Jones Day, where he was an associate.

Li’s expertise includes transactions relating to private equity and venture capital, foreign direct investments and general corporate matters. He joined Jones Day in 2007, working at DLA Piper and Han Kun Law Offices prior to that.

In July, AnJie boosted its capital market practice with the hire of partners Feng Cuixi, Zhang Di and Ji Zhenggang in Beijing. Three new partners also joined the Beijing office in October: IP expert James Ma, and PE/VC specialists Xie Yongtao and Echo Zhao.

In September, AnJie opened a new office in Shenzhen – its third in China.
