Allen & Overy has appointed private equity and funds specialist Wayne Lee as a partner in Shanghai from Shearman & Sterling.

Lee, whose practice includes advising pension and sovereign wealth funds, also advises Chinese private companies and state-owned enterprises on cross-border M&A and investment transactions.  

Allen & Overy has added a number of lawyers in its Greater China offices in the past six months. In September, the the firm added Ashurst partners Lina Lee and Jonathan Hsui, while it July, it hired debt capital markets partner Alex Tao from Davis Polk & Wardwell.
