Chinese firm Han Kun Law Offices has welcomed two corporate partners in Beijing, including Min Duan from Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.
Duan's practice covers inbound and outbound M&A, private equity financings, tax and regulatory advice on cross border transactions covering M&A, overseas green field investment and IP licensing.
He was previously a partner and the only counsel in Morgan Lewis’s Beijing office, which he joined in 2007. Duan’s move comes amid Morgan Lewis’s efforts to intensify its China presence, hiring a four-lawyer team from Simmons & Simmons in Shanghai and 13 partners from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe earlier this year, as well as announcing plans for a Hong Kong office.
The other partner joining Han Kun’s Beijing office is Yanlei He, who was an in-house lawyer for MSN China, a web portal formerly owned by Microsoft. She will focus on cross-border transactions, M&A, joint ventures and capital markets, as well as advising clients on general corporate matters.
