Baker McKenzie has launched Global Antitrust Dawn Raid App, a mobile software that provides clients with real-time and step-by-step guidance on their rights and obligations should they be raided, as well as instant access to the firm’s antitrust lawyers.
A global version of Bakers’ Dawn Raid App released in Asia Pacific late last year, the new app – touted as the first of its kind – is available in 44 jurisdictions around the world, covering local administrative and criminal laws.
“The App is a cutting-edge platform that provides practical assistance and peace of mind for individuals on the ground handling unannounced inspections,” explained the firm in a statement. “It answers a whole range of practical questions on a country-by-country basis under local law, such as ‘Can inspectors demand passwords to allow IT access?’, ‘Can employees leave the building with their laptops?’”
Bakers will also introduce local-language versions for employees in China and Japan in the coming weeks.
