Baker Botts has hired Manuel “Bing” Maisog, the former chief representative of the legacy Hunton & Williams’ Beijing office, as a partner in its Beijing team.

Maisog’s departure comes shortly after Hunton & Williams merged with Andrews Kurth to form Hunton Andrews Kurth. 

Maisog spent much of his career at Hunton & Williams – in Baltimore, Bangkok and Hong Kong, before moving to Beijing after the firm’s Hong Kong office closed. 

With experience representing clients in sectors such as energy and natural resources, manufacturing, power, technology, finance, M&A, retail and consumer products, and FDI, Maisog focuses on China-related cross-border transactions as well as data privacy and cybersecurity.

美国贝克博茨律师事务所北京团队迎来了新合伙人戴孟华的加入，戴孟华原是美国何威律师事务所驻北京代表处的合伙人和首席代表。

戴孟华离开的时机，是今年美国何威律师事务所与美国安卓律师事务所合并为Hunton Andrews Kurth律师事务所之后。

戴孟华曾在美国何威律师事务所执业了很长时间，先后在巴尔的摩办公室、曼谷办公室、香港办公室工作，香港办公室关闭后，戴孟华来到北京代表处执业。

戴孟华的执业领域为中国跨境交易以及数据隐私和网络安全，此外还代表各类型客户在诸多行业领域积累了丰富经验，比如：能源与自然资源、制造业、电力、技术、金融、并购、零售与消费品、对外直接投资等等。
