UK-headquartered law firm Fieldfisher has launched its third China office in the southern city of Guangzhou after hiring three partners and four associates from city outfit Greenen Law Office.
Fieldfisher opened its first office in China – in the capital of Beijing – in November 2016, and followed it up with a Shanghai outpost three months later. The new office will focus on corporate/M&A, dispute resolution and intellectual property work.
Unlike other international firms, which have representative offices in China, Fieldfisher has its own practice license issued by China’s Ministry of Justice and is allowed to advise clients on both contentious and non-contentious work in the country.
The new partners joining Fieldfisher from Greenen are Zhongran Lian, Kuan Liu and Connie Wong.
Lian has more than 30 years of experience in advising both state-owned and private companies in commercial arbitration and litigation. He also advises foreign clients on the recognition and enforcement of foreign court decisions and arbitration awards in China.
Specialising in commercial arbitration and litigation, Liu has more than 20 years of trial and enforcement experience in both civil and commercial cases.
A corporate partner, Wong’s experience includes advising on both inbound and outbound cross-border investments. She also sits as an arbitrator at the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission.
Including Guangzhou, Fieldfisher China now has 14 partners and 21 lawyers and paralegals.

刘宽专长于高端商事仲裁和诉讼，具有20多年民商事案件的审判及执行经验。
王历专长于公司法以及争端解决领域，具有大量的实践经验帮助客户进行跨境投资。凭借商事争端解决领域的丰富见解和经验，王历也是中国广州仲裁委员会仲裁员。
包括广州办公室在内，斐石律师事务所目前在中国共有14位合伙人、21位律师及律师助理。
