Zhong Lun Law Firm has hired corporate expert Ron Cai as a partner in its Shanghai office from Seattle-headquartered Davis Wright Tremaine, where he was chief representative. 

Cai has nearly 30 years of experience assisting clients in US-China business projects. He advises on corporate/cross-border M&A, dispute resolution, and labour and employment-related matters in industries such as TMT, IoT, cloud service, AI, healthcare, renewable energy, transportation, heavy machinery and infrastructure projects.  

Cai worked at Tonkon Torp from 1988 to 1994, then moved to the legacy Kaye Scholer in 1994. After that, he had a stint at the now-defunct Graham & James from 1995 to 2000, before joining DWT.  

His clients include the Bank of China, Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services, Brioche Doree China, China Central Television, China Development Bank, China Railway Construction Corp, China South Locomotive Corp, Eaton, General Electric, Getty Images, Goodyear, Manitowoc, Marriott International, Microsoft, Neuhaus, Nike, Paccar, Pudong Development Bank, Starbucks, Tesco, Tom Tom, Tyson Foods and Umbro.
