Beijing-headquartered Merits & Tree Law Offices has hired seven new partners: Six in the capital and one in Shanghai.
Four of the Beijing hires are from Beijing Jingwei Law Firm, namely Qinghong Cai, Shanshan Ren, Yanyan Wang and Hao Zhou. Han Ye joins from Zhong Lun Law Firm and Wenwen Zeng from Hylands Law Firm, while Yijun Chen, the sole Shanghai partner, was earlier with Grandall Law Firm and Tigress Financial Partners.
Cai focuses on investments and financing M&A, cross-border transactions, capital markets, government supervision and compliance.
Ye has experience in antitrust, competition, investments and financing M&A.
Zeng has experience in investment funds, M&A, entertainment law, and Internet law.
Ren was also at Beijing Kangda Law Firm. She focuses on dispute resolution, intellectual property, government supervision and compliance.
Wang, who counts Reed Smith and Dewey Ballantine among past employers, has experience in investment and financing M&A, cross-border transactions, banking and finance, and dispute resolution.
Zhou, who worked for Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison earlier, focuses on capital markets, investment funds, investment and financing M&A, and cross-border transactions.
And Chen’s practice areas cover banking and finance, investment and financing M&A, and tax.
“With the arrival of the seven new partners, the firm will enhance its capabilities in exploring global market,” the firm said in a statement.
In October 2018, Merits & Tree joined Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW), a global association of 100 independent law firms located in more than 50 countries.

曾雯雯律师在投资基金、投融资并购、娱乐法、网络法方面经验丰富。
任珊珊律师之前也在北京康达律师事务所执业，主要执业领域为争议解决、知识产权、政府监管与合规。
王妍妍律师之前也先后在英国礼德律师事务所、美国杜威律师事务所执业，在投融资并购与跨境交易、银行与金融、争议解决方面经验颇丰。
周皓律师之前也曾在美国威尔逊律师事务所、美国盛信律师事务所、美国宝维斯律师事务所执业，主要执业领域涵盖证券资本市场、投资基金、投融资并购与跨境交易。
陈懿君律师的主要执业领域包含银行与金融、投融资并购、税务。
