King & Wood Mallesons has hired six new partners: two in Beijing, one in Shanghai, and three in Guangzhou.
In Beijing, Hong Tina Tai joins from China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd., while Hong Chen worked with the procuratorate and state-owned financial investment companies prior to joining the Beijing office. Xuefeng Zhu, the sole new partner hire in Shanghai, worked at Han Yuan & Partners previous. Two of the Guangzhou hires are from JunHe, namely Ming Nie and Holly Fang, while Le Zhang joins from JunZeJun Law Offices.
Tai focuses on pharmaceutical chemistry and polymer chemistry. She joined CPA in 1993, was qualified as a patent attorney in 1994, and was admitted to practice law in 1999. She has advised Chinese and foreign clients on patent infringement and lawsuits, etc. and represented Pfizer as the chief attorney in both invalidation proceedings and court proceedings involving the Viagra case.
Chen has 20 years of experience in dispute resolution related to equity investment, construction and infrastructure projects. She advises large conglomerates on mediation, litigation and arbitration cases.
Zhu’s practice focuses on white collar crime, criminal defense, and compliance. He has experience in handling the cases that involve the intersection of civil and criminal law.
Nie’s practice areas cover corporate securities, M&A, and private equity funds. Among her past roles, she worked in the internal quality control and risk control team in the investment banking department of GF Securities and was involved in the internal review of dozens of investment banking projects.
Fang has experience in capital markets, corporate/M&A, private equity, and venture capital investment. Her clients include onshore and offshore listed companies, large state-owned enterprises and renowned financial institutions.
Zhang focuses on securitization and structure finance, PRC-related cross-border merger and acquisition, banking and real estate. He also has experience in foreign direct investment and in assisting Chinese enterprises going global.
“We keep expanding in response to the increasing needs from our clients and the market. In 2018, KWM China has hired 20 new partners and promoted 24 partners. With the arrival of the six new partners, the firm will enhance its capabilities in servicing our clients both in China and beyond,” said Yi Zhang, chairman of KWM’s China Management Committee.
金杜北京、上海、广州迎来六位新合伙人
金杜律师事务所中国办公室相继迎来六位新合伙人，分别加入北京（两位）、上海（一位）和广州（三位）办公室。
邰红律师和陈红律师在北京办公室办公。加入金杜前，邰红律师在中国专利代理（香港）有限公司任职，陈红律师曾在检察机关和国有金融投资类企业有从业经历。朱薛峰律师加入上海办公室，在此之前曾在上海瀚元律师事务所执业。加入广州办公室的聂明律师和方海燕律师，均来自君合律师事务所，张乐律师在此之前在君泽君律师事务所执业。
邰红律师的主要执业领域是药物化学及高分子化学专利代理业务。1993年邰红律师加入中国专利代理（香港）有限公司，1994年成为专利律师，1999年开始执业，为诸多国内外客户提供专利侵权、行政诉讼等方面的法律服务。曾作为首席律师，代表辉瑞公司进行专利无效及行政诉讼。
陈红律师在公司股权投资、建设工程及基础设施施工领域的争议解决业务方面拥有二十年的丰富经验，曾代理多家大型企业集团在基础设施投资建设争议的调解、诉讼和仲裁案件。
朱薛峰律师的主要执业领域是经济犯罪刑事辩护、合规业务等，尤其对刑事合规、刑民交叉业务多有研究和涉猎。
聂明律师的主要执业领域为公司证券、投资并购、私募股权基金法律业务。聂明律师过往也曾在广发证券投行部任职，作为投行质量控制部门内核人员，参与数十家各类投行项目的审核。
方海燕律师的主要执业领域为资本市场、公司与并购、私募股权投资、创业投资领域，曾为诸多企业提供法律服务，其中包括境内外上市公司、大型国企、知名金融机构。
张乐律师的主要执业领域为资产证券化与结构金融、跨境交易、银行和房地产。早年从事外商直接投资和中国企业“走出去”业务，具有丰富的跨境交易经验。
