Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has added corporate and capital markets expert Allen Shyu as a partner in Beijing from Stephenson Harwood, where he led the firm’s office in the capital.

Before joining Stephenson Harwood, Shyu was managing partner of Troutman Sanders’ Beijing office for almost seven years.

Shyu focuses on equity capital markets and corporate cross-border M&A transactions, especially in the energy and natural resources sectors. A native of Taiwan, he also provides regular counsel to Taiwanese companies.
